Since childhood, lions have burst into my dreams. I’m pleased to have a green one arrive while painting. This small green lion emerged on one of my canvases this week — a symbol of the prima materia in alchemy, the potential for transformation. Without eating the sun, the green lion can symbolize untamed, primal energy, sparking the essence of an awakened hidden life.

Part of a work in progress. It may not look like this later so it’s nice to record it.

Here is a very small video capturing me adding some last details to one of my paintings from The Dreaming Oracle Deck, taken a few years back now.

It’s………….Oracle Card of the Day cyber styleee… personally I prefer a good old hold in your mitts card version but as I haven’t attempted one of these yet for The Dreaming Oracle Deck, here it is.

(Apologies if it makes anyone dizzy. Defintely don’t watch this while driving, lifting heavy machinery or if you’re already feeling a bit nauseous).

Some basic instructions if you need it.

Pause for a moment, do what you need to do to centre yourself, perhaps take some deep breaths, stretch your legs round the back of your head or twirl manically for 3 minutes while chanting libations to your favourite deity, then once your ready take a screenshot to pick your card for the day.
 Some ideas of how to get more understanding from your card.

1. Look at the Image: What stands out to you? Are there colors, shapes, or symbols that spark something? Even a small detail might hold a personal meaning.
2. Reflect on the Word: What does it make you think of? How does it connect to how you’re feeling, what you’re working through, or what you want today?
3. Take Action: Use the word and the image as a guide. Maybe it helps you approach a situation differently, focus your energy, or see something in a new light.

I’ve slowly begun the process of mounting the artwork from The Dreaming Oracle. During the four years it took to create the deck, a few pieces were sold to help fund the journey, but many are still here, waiting to be seen. It’s been moving to go through them again, to bring them out and give them the attention they deserve. Each painting feels transformative, holding the wisdom I uncovered through the act of painting them—each one a reflection of the dreams that guided me and the insights they revealed along the way.

Under a cloak of blackthorn,

After a turbulent and very busy few months I have finally managed to pick up my paintbrush again. Hopefully the first of many new pieces! 🌟💫 The colours are calling me back!

I had fun trying out new animation techniques over the weekend and this mini animation is the result of me meshing some of these techniques together. Creating a few seconds of an animation can take hours to create so I am very much in awe of all the wonderful animations and animators out there.

I had a fun day working with Hennock Primary School yesterday helping them create imaginative worlds from paint. We also looked at colour mixing, mark making and drawing skills . So lovely seeing so many beautiful paintings and drawings come to life. The project was managed by @daisiarts

Completely fell in love with the work of self taught artist Mathew Wong which is currently showing in Amsterdam at the Van Gogh museum. The show was particular moving as like Van Gogh he commuted suicide at an early age. His paintings mirror internal landscapes and looking at each piece painting you can feel drawn inside …like a story long forgotten.

I haven’t really quite managed to post much yet from my amazing time away at the @iasddream conference in Rolduc. To be surrounded by so many others who are inspired and listen to their dreams in a myriad of ways was such a wonderful and inspiring experience. It was exciting to contribute to the event with a presentation workshop alongside @thenightisjungdreamguide about our Dreaming Oracle Deck. I was also excited to be part of an artist panel talking about how my art relates to dreams. Thanks to everyone who joined our workshop and bought our deck and also big thanks so all the organisers, fellow presenters and volunteers, I feel so very fed! 💙
